Introducing DSB Co and the Dynamic Spacer Block

DSB Co has designed the Dynamic Spacer Block (DSB), an instrument used during TKR surgery to improve the accuracy of the bone cuts and quantify and guide the decisions surgeons make during surgery to optimise the soft tissue balance of the knee post-operatively. This device is now under development A known goal of total knee replacement is that achieving a balanced knee should result in improved patient function and pain and a decrease in complications leading to revision knee replacements. If this goal can be regularly achieved by more surgeons, then it should be possible to minimize complications and have a positive impact on patient satisfaction & the healthcare budgets worldwide.
